Roberto has practical and professional experience in bushland rehabilitation, which has given him a solid foundation and understanding of our natural ecological systems, and also the practical aspects of project management and implementation.
Roberto's research focuses on understanding the evolutionary (resistance selection) effects of current weed control management techniques used in cropping and identifying what is required to keep them effective. He also researches crop competition as a means to suppress weed growth and seed production by studying multi-factorial combinations of effective cultural practices across different rainfall zones of the western GRDC region.
